One Long Weekend!

Our Weekend turned out to be awesome - we decided to go to DC on Friday instead of Saturday. Thankfully, the weather cooperated with us and it wasn't too cold or windy. We stopped in Springfield to catch the Metro into DC - that was pretty much the highlight of the trip for the 4 year old. When we got to the National Mall we went to The National Museum of Natural History.
It was a little crowded - but what do expect during spring break. Matthew liked it - Adam however, wanted to go back to the train. Melinda and I were a little amazed at how much had not really changed over the years since our last visit. For me it was many many years ago - back in Junior High. Anyway, we did get the chance to spend $7 bucks for a hot dog and $4 for a peanut butter sandwich - that was awesome... After lunch we headed over to the Air and Space Museum - Matthew loved it -- Adam again ready to go back to the Train. We did get a chance to ride some of the interactive rides -- which were cool. They were doing some construction - so it would be a place to go back to in a couple of years to see whats new. 2 Museums was plenty for a 4 and 6 year old. I really wanted to go to a couple more -but Adam and Matthew were done! We headed back to the train and back to Springfield.

Saturday - Soccer Canceled - a day of rest needed.

Sunday - Fishing Trip canceled - the Shad will just have to wait till next weekend.
