Garage This

workbench
It's finally time to find a new hobby. This house we bought came with a garage. How awesome is that? Well, it would be awesome if it served a purpose other than storing bikes, outdoor toys, chairs, coolers, kayak, punching bag, golf clubs, camping gear, recycle bins, and yard work equipment.
Over the summer Matthew and I built a very rough looking workbench (if you can call it that). But it was nice to do something with Matthew. He had a great time learning how to use a tape measure, making straight lines, and drilling in some screws. Anyway, Since never having a garage before I have never really acquired many power tools other than things needed to fix stuff around the house. So for the past year or so I have slowly added tools to the garage. Now it's time to do something with them.

Of Coarse a New Work Bench is needed.

That's awesome Chris. Looking forward to seeing more info about what y'all are doing.

My son (who's 4yrs) got some really basic set that really probably couldn't be used for any construction, BUT he so totally thinks he's ready to (and I'm being specific because he's specific) build a bird house :)

Oh and btw - we only have a shed to build in - and it's quite full :( we will get to wait until summertime.

Any flat surface in a garage qualifies as an excellent work bench! Well...except the hood of your car!

Great blog! Nice to see some neighbors online!
